2. Use Apple's student promo before August 27

Apple's back-to-school offer ends August 27. Eligible postsecondary students and other qualified education purchasers can combine education pricing with an Apple Gift Card worth up to $210 on an eligible MacBook Pro. Eligible MacBook Air and iPad purchases have their own gift-card amounts. Check the official Apple terms before choosing your device.

3. Shop Amazon's back-to-school page

4. Claim student subscriptions before classes start

Companies gladly offer students some heavy discounts on premium apps or software. 6. Cut the phone bill before school starts

Public Mobile currently features a 25GB Canada-US-Mexico 5G plan for $35 per month with 1,000 international long-distance minutes. That is a useful fit for students who need a generous data bucket at home and across the border.

7. Watch the Pixel promotion arriving this week

Google says Pixel 11 phones opened for preorder on August 12 and reached store shelves on August 20.
