Weekly Money Opportunities in Canada [July 6-12, 2026]

July 6, 2026
Six Canadian money opportunities for July 6 to 12, 2026, including Keurig settlement claims, RBC Avion points, PC Express grocery credits, Wealthsimple promos, July benefits and student perks.

What's on this page
Six Canadian money moves to check this week: claim the Keurig settlement, apply for RBC Avion, use PC Express grocery credits, stack Wealthsimple promos, check July benefit dates and activate student perks.
This week's roundup covers July 6 to 12, 2026, and it is built around deadlines: a Keurig K-Cup settlement claim due July 8, an RBC Avion welcome offer ending July 15, PC Express grocery credits to use by July 22, a strong Wealthsimple promo stack, July benefit dates and student subscription perks to lock in before renewal season.
1. Claim the Keurig K-Cup settlement by July 8
The urgent item this week is the Keurig K-Cup Recycling Settlement. Canadians who bought eligible K-Cup pods or eligible brewers tied to recycling or disposal representations can submit a claim by July 8, 2026. The payout tiers are simple enough to act on quickly: up to $7 without proof, up to $50 with proof of eligible pod purchases, and up to $25 for eligible brewer claims with proof.
If you bought Keurig products in Canada during the class period, open the official settlement page, check the class definition and submit before the July 8 cutoff.
See more at the official Keurig K-Cup settlement website and Canooq's Keurig K-Cup Recycling Settlement tracker.
2. Apply for the RBC Avion welcome offer by July 15
The strongest credit-card deadline this week is the RBC Avion welcome offer. The current offer is advertised as up to 70,000 Avion points, with RBC positioning that as up to $1,500 in travel value. The apply-by date is July 15, 2026, so this belongs near the top of the weekly list for anyone comparing travel cards right now.
Avion points give this offer flexibility: you can redeem through RBC travel options instead of committing to one airline program. Apply by July 15 if you can meet the required spend with normal purchases and want travel rewards ready for summer bookings, fall trips or holiday planning.
Apply through Ratehub's RBC Avion link or compare card value in Canooq's Best Canadian Credit Card Offers.
3. Use PC Express code PCX75 by July 22
New PC Express customers have a grocery offer worth planning around before the cart fills itself. Use code PCX75 to get $15 in PC Optimum points on each of your first five eligible PC Express orders. That is up to $75 in points across five grocery orders, with a $75 minimum cart for each eligible order.
Complete each eligible order by July 22, 2026.
See more at PC Express.
4. Stack the current Wealthsimple promos this week
Wealthsimple has the richest promo stack in this roundup. The current active/public opportunities include the $25 referral bonus, the 1% match on eligible transfers of $25,000 or more initiated within 30 days of registration, the 3% Active Trader match, the Monthly Millionaire July contest, and the 5% credit-card cashback welcome boost.
Open or review your Wealthsimple account first, register for the promo you want, then move eligible money inside the active window. For the 1% match, Wealthsimple says eligible transfers must be initiated within 30 days of registration and received within the later settlement window. Monthly Millionaire entries come from registration and eligible activity during the active contest period.

5. Check July benefit payments and the heat pump deadline
July has several benefit dates worth checking now. The Ontario Trillium Benefit and Advanced Canada Workers Benefit pay on July 10. The Canada Child Benefit pays on July 20. The federally delivered Oil to Heat Pump Affordability program closes applications on July 31 in eligible areas.
Use this week to check your CRA direct deposit, mailing address, 2025 tax return status and program eligibility. You don't have to do anything other than filing a 2025 tax return to be eligible if you're under income thresholds.

6. Activate student subscription perks before renewal season
Back-to-school and renewal season is close enough that students should activate useful subscriptions now. The best free student perks are practical: GitHub Student Developer Pack, Microsoft 365 Education, Notion for Education, Figma for Education, JetBrains Student Pack and Autodesk Education Access.
Claim the student accounts before classes restart: GitHub, Microsoft 365, Notion, Figma, JetBrains and Autodesk can cover assignments, portfolios, side projects, job applications and freelance work. Use your active school email or verification access now, then set renewal reminders.
